Unbarring Love

During the fall of Troy, the Trojans were attacked by soldiers that came out of the wooden horse. Most of them were drunk so the Greeks easily defeated them. On that part of the story Aeneas prepares to fight the Greeks because they were out powered and about to lose at that time. Meanwhile, his wife Creusa disagrees with his decision to fight. His wife begs him to consider her and his son Ascanius first. This part of the story is somewhat similar with one of the scene in the story of Illiad. It was when Andromache pleased hector to fight with Achilles. I read that Hector killed Achilles’ best friend who was Patroclus. Hector wasn't pleased by Andromache and he fought with Achilles, man to man until he was killed
The two scenes are common. First of all because of the characters they were both couples. It also shows an unpredictable love of a wife for her husband. Creusa and Andromache both stopped their husbands from entering a dangerous situation. The two of them showed much love and affection for the one that they love. Unfortunately, the affection that they showed were not enough to make things alright.
The scene might seem the same but there are still differences. One of those were the reason and purposes of Aeneas and Hector. Another is that Creusa was able to pursue her husband but Andromache wasn’t. There are more differences. But like what I have said a billion times ago Aeneid is a good story and this scene added more and I also think the scene form Iliad also acted like that.

Ultimate Defeat and Terrible Loss

The story Aeneid really do showcase lots of “Ultimate Defeat and Terrible Loss”.  The story of Aeneid has shown many the fact of no longer having something. In terms of extreme deaths or literally losing something. It also exhibited ideas relating to being defeated or beaten.  Aeneid really supports this ideas.
Some details that we can refer to are, first of all the fall of Troy. It showed loss in terms of losing your own land in Aeneas’ and the other Trojan’s part. They were defeated violently by the Greeks. Some more parts are when Aeneas repeatedly lost all of his love ones all throughout the story. Another was when Dido lost Aeneas. Lastly, when Turnus got defeated by Aeneas as well as Juno. There are more details that can support this idea since Aeneid is quite long.
I am one hundred percent confident that a bunch of details from Aeneid supports that this story has the theme related to ultimate defeat and terrible loss. Also because of this theme the story became more interesting and adventurous. For me this two themes collaborated perfectly with the other themes to make one great masterpiece.

Special Sympathy

It is hard to imagine that the fall of Troy was just because of an apple. It may sound simple but there’s a deeper story behind all of that. A simple happening that caused wrath from a goddess. I will not state the whole story anymore, I’ll jump to the part where it will happen. In the part where the soldiers came out of the wooden horse to attack the Trojans I felt pity for them.
While reading, I imagined the scene. Thinking that many soldiers, women and children will be attacked unprepared the scene looks horrible. I pity them more because they thought that the wooden horse was a gift but instead they were betrayed. I think almost everyone hates that feeling. So for short I really hated the Greeks for doing that, but what can I do they have their own reasons and purposes.
Even though I know that Aeneas will be able to find a new city my feeling towards that part of the story didn’t changed. It changed when I realized that if Troy will not be defeated there will be no story for the Aeneid. Still, I felt pity for the Trojans because of what they suffered. Even they found a new land many of them had shed blood. For short I really felt sympathy for the Trojans.

Mysteries behind the Enigmatic Smile

“Mona Lisa” is what most people call this painting. Many years had passed but the mysteries about the sitter are still there. Some people believed that that the Mona Lisa was Lisa Gherardini, a woman married to a Florentine merchant. Some believes that the sitter was a self portrait of Da Vinci himself. While others believe that it is a portrait of a Duchess. Too many speculations were there that made the painting more and more valuable. Until now studies are still made using the modern technologies to figure out who the real sitter was.
I partly believe that Mona Lisa is Lisa Gherardini, because in my opinion it wouldn’t be called “Mona” if the person there was not a girl and it wouldn’t be called “Lisa” if there weren’t any connection. Based on all the information that I have read from various articles the justifications that the sitter was Lisa Gherardini was the most satisfying for me. The rest of the supposition seems to be right too, because the persons who theorized them were professionals. Like what I have said those speculations and studies made the painting more famous.

Right now I think knowing the sitter behind the painting is not really that important now. The more significant fact is that many people were amazed and amused by the wonderful painting and the various stories behind it. I think every artist’s purpose is to express their selves through their art and to showcase their talent and insights. So I will just appreciate the exquisiteness of Mona Lisa.

Afternoon Tea with the Queen

For me being historical doesn’t mean that you are already dead. Queen Elizabeth II is the most historical person that I want to meet. Imagine being the Queen of United Kingdom from 1952 until the present... that is very extraordinary. I have imagined meeting the persons that I like many and one of them was Queen Elizabeth.
Since I was a child I had a list of the countries that I wanted to visit in the future and of course United Kingdom was one of them. I imagined that some years from now I’ll visit the House of Windsor then I will take lots of pictures. While taking pictures the Queen will be heading out by means of a carriage towards Buckingham Palace. Unfortunately the strong wind will blow her hat and it will land perfectly on my spot. Due to so much excitement I will pick up the precious hat and will carefully hand it to someone in charge beside the carriage. The queen will smile because of what happened. The next thing that will happen is that they will ask me to ride inside the carriage too.
Inside the carriage is the Queen and her son Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. I was quiet throughout the travel but the queen asked me some question regarding my nationality and many more. After the travel the carriage stopped in front of the Buckingham Palace.  After arriving there I heard that it was the anniversary of the famous “Royal Couple”. I went out of the carriage and watched them walk. The queen looked back and somewhat signaled that I should also go with them so I walked quickly towards them and sent a smile.
During the celebration I met many royal people, including Prince William and Kate Middleton. I sat in a corner because I felt that I do not belong and that celebration was just intended for ROYALTIES. While sipping my afternoon tea (their traditional 4 o'clock tea) someone sat beside me and to my surprise it was the Queen herself. We talked for many hours. I asked her things regarding her reign; I talked to her exactly just like how I talk with my grandmother. She shared stuffs that I never expected that will come out from a person like her. She treats me like her own granddaughter for that day because I learned that the hat that I returned was from her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria.
After that happy afternoon they asked me to ride a horse and they accompanied me towards my destination. The last image that I saw there was a happy and a waving queen.

7 MAJOR VIOLATIONS AS A STUDENT

In being a student for almost ten years I have observed that there are common “sins” that are often committed by many students. Those simple mistakes can’t be considered as “sins” yet and I will just label them as VIOLATIONS, which can lead towards being sins if practiced regularly. Like in Dante Alighieri’s famous masterpiece “The Divine Comedy” there is different places where sinners should suffer to repay their mistakes. I decided to make my own version of it, but this time I will use my list of 7 Major violations as a student in the form of terraces. The lowest terrace is the violation with the least intensity, the intensity becomes greater every step upward.  Every terrace corresponds to one major violation. In each terrace there is a disciplinary action for the violator. Of course the persons involved and the disciplinarian will also be there. Lastly, the aftermath or the effect after doing the violation is there.
CARELESSNESS: The violators here are those who are negligent and careless with their things. The disciplinarian here is the “Class confiscator”. The things and other stuff neglected by the violator will be confiscated. The consequence is that the violator will be given the choice to ransom that stuff.
STINGINESS:  The violators here are those who are not generous or excessively selfish. This terrace is different because the disciplinarian here is the violator’s own conscience. The aftereffect is that the more the person denies the heavier his/her conscience will get.
MESSINESS: The messy and untidy belongs here. The disciplinarian will be the school cleaner/janitor. The aftermath is that the violator will be asked to clean his/her messy area or the place that was messed up.
DISCONTENTMENT:   in this terrace the violators are those who are discontented with what they have. The disciplinarian will be the parents themselves. The violators will be asked to write a letter containing all the reasons that caused their discontentment and the rest will be up to the parents.
ARROGANCE: The violators here are those who are arrogant and hard headed. The adviser will be the disciplinarian. The consequence of these violations is that the adviser will talk to the violator together with the parents and the behavior of the student will be monitored.
DISHONESTY: This terrace includes lying and cheating (dishonesty against others and towards yourself). The disciplinarian will be the guidance counselor because cheating and lying is a big mistake especially in schools. The disciplinary action will be depending on the intensity of your violation.
SLOTH: This is the biggest violation among all. The violators are those who submit projects and requirements late. The disciplinarian will be the subject teacher. The consequence will also be the worst which is LOW GRADES.
This list of 7 major violations as a student was just purely invented by me, but I think it will be helpful if those 7 violations there will be changed. Changing this bad attitudes will be the path towards the "Seven Contrary Virtues" of diligence, generosity, patience, chastity, moderation, contentment, and, most important of all, humility and also the path towards betterment.
